In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some adjustments to our operations to ensure the safety of our staff, visitors and the families we serve. The latest guidelines include:
A state mandate on size limits of gatherings
This impacts visitations/funerals/memorial services/celebrations of life and burial services.
Currently, the PA Department of Health's mitigation requirements limit the capacity for indoor events to 10% of usual capacity. For funeral homes, the individual impact will vary based on the characteristics of their building and how they choose to control the flow of visitors through their facility. Like all of our fellow local funeral directors, we are committed to working within these guidelines to give families the opportunity to honor their loved ones with elements of traditional service such as visitations and funeral services.
Various community organizations such as churches, cemeteries and event venues also have crowd size limitations in place. Though religious institutions have been specifically excluded from past restrictions, churches may choose to self impose limits on events and have done so in many cases. We will coordinate with your church and other local organizations to plan within the bounds of their current operations.
All families are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing while at the funeral home for visitations, memorial services and funerals.
Masks or other face coverings are required in all public spaces, as per PA State Health Department guidance.
The CDC and local governments have recommended the use of masks when entering and throughout your visit to the funeral home. Additionally, most of our client families are requesting that all visitors wear a mask.

We will have streaming and recording options available for all services, free of charge.
As always, if a member of your family is uncomfortable attending services due to COVID-19 or are unable due to being symptomatic for COVID-19, we are able to record and/or stream services for viewing by those at a distance.
In person meeting changes
When reaching out to our funeral home, we ask that you first call our office before coming in person. Many common tasks can be completed over the phone or with low contact to protect everyone. We are also able to complete arrangements over the phone and email to accommodate many situations. We are available 24 hours a day for any of your needs.
Our online arrangement platform is available 24 hours a day for families to begin planning from the comfort and safety of their own home.
Facility cleaning and disinfection
Our visitation rooms, restrooms and other common areas have always been cleaned and sanitized after each visitation or funeral service. We have increased this frequency of regular cleaning and now fully disinfect in between visiting hours as well as before and after each service. We are also reminding all staff and visitors to practice good hygiene, including frequent hand washing and limiting how we interact with others by maintaining appropriate personal space.
